The transformer is used as a power source for KR C2 cabinets which are connected to power supply
systems other than 400 V, or to 400 V networks without a grounded neutral.
The size of the transformer (8 kVA or 13 kVA) depends on the required power output!

Ordering information / limitations
The 8 kVA transformer must be used with drive configurations 1, 2, 5, 13, 15, 16, 17,18, 24.
The 13 kVA transformer should be selected
- if drive configurations 7, 9, 10, 23, 25, and 26 are used;
- if an external axis is used with KUKA Servo Drive KSD1-64 in the basic cabinet;
- if a top-mounted cabinet is used.

When using a basic cabinet in UL-version, an isolation transformer UL must be selected.

The primary voltage used must always be explicitly specified (see below).
If a transformer is to be used, a transformer installation kit must be ordered (see Transformer installation kit).

In order to ensure reliable back-up operation, the battery must be checked to make sure that it is fully
operational. When using the battery monitoring, a special DC-USV module, which is additionally installed in the control cabinet, monitors the charge of the back-up batteries.
The monitoring of the charge-up batteries takes place at regular intervals during operation.
In event of a fault, an alarm signal is generated immediately. The state of the battery module is indicated by a light-emitting diode (LED) on the control cabinet.

Ordering information / limitations
To indicate the state, the LEDs on the cabinet door are used.
For that reason, when ordering, a cabinet door with preparation for the door interface (see under KR C2 control cabinet / basic cabinet) and a door interface must be selected. The door interface offers various connections, see under PC / door interface.

The KUKA Power Supply (KPS) is an intermediate circuit power supply that provides all the functions required by a robot controller that are not covered by the axis servo.
When Safe Technology (Safe Operation) is used, a second main contactor connected in series is required in addition to the KPS.
Having the version titan, a second main KPS is always necessary.

single-axis disconnect of external axes is selected.
Please note: If safe single-axis disconnect of external axes is selected, it must be used for all external
axes (both in the basic cabinet and, where applicable, in the top-mounted cabinet). A mixed configuration
(e.g. A7 in failsafe technology, A8 standard) is not possible

Access to the CD-ROM drive is possible only when door is open.

The PC without drive block contain a CD-ROM drive
When ordering a PC without a drive block, the cabinet door with preparation for the door interface (see basic cabinet) and the door interface for 4 x must the ordered.

When using the functionality Robo team or safe technology , a PC specially designed for Robo Team and safe technology is to be selected.
